At BCMG Connect, we value your concern about the use and sharing of your personal information, and we are grateful for your confidence in our responsible and thoughtful handling of such information. Our Privacy Notice outlines our policy in this regard. By accessing BCMGConnect.com, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the practices outlined in this Privacy Notice.

To personalize and enhance your shipping experience on BCMGConnect.com, we collect various types of information from our clients. The following are examples of the information we gather.

The information you provide us:

We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site or give us in any other way. You provide most such information when you price, ship, participate in a contest or questionnaire or communicate with our Client Support. As a result of those actions, you might supply us with such information as your name, address, and phone numbers; credit card information; people to whom packages have been shipped, including addresses and phone numbers; people (with addresses and phone numbers) listed in your address book; content of reviews and e-mails to us; personal description; and financial information, including Social Security and driver’s license numbers. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our services and features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing future shipping for you, improving our site, and communicating with you.

Automated information:  We automatically collect certain types of information whenever you interact with us: As is common with many websites, we use “cookies” and other means to gather specific information when you access BCMGConnect.com through your web browser. Examples of the information we collect and analyze include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, login, email address, password, computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system and platform, shipping history (which we sometimes aggregate with similar data from other customers to create features such as shipping circles and top shippers), the complete Uniform Resource Locator (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our website, including date and time, cookie number, search queries, and the phone number you used to call our 888 number. During some visits, we may also use tools such as JavaScript to measure and collect session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, and page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs) to enhance your experience. While several companies provide tools to allow anonymous browsing of websites, please be aware that using such tools will prevent us from providing you with a personalized experience at BCMGConnect.com.

“Retargeting” Ads:  We utilize third-party advertising companies to display ads when you visit our website. These companies may collect non-personally identifiable information like your IP address, pages viewed, and other data related to your visits to our site and others, using cookies or web beacons. This information is used to provide advertisements for products and services that may be of interest to you. Please note that this information does not include your name, company, address, email address, or telephone number. If you would like to learn more about this practice or opt out of having this information used for behavioral retargeting advertising, you may visit http://www.networkadvertising.org for more information.

E-mail Communications:  We strive to make our email communications more engaging and valuable.  We may receive confirmation when you open an email from BCMGConnect.com if your computer has the necessary capabilities. Additionally, we compare our customer list with lists received from other companies to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers. If you no longer wish to receive emails or other correspondence from us, kindly notify us through our Support or by responding with “STOP” to the email.

Information received from other sources:  We may obtain additional information about you from other sources and merge it with your existing account information. Such sources may include updated delivery and address details from our carriers or third-party providers, which we use to correct our records and facilitate the delivery of your next shipment or communication, as well as account information, purchase history, page-view data, pricing criteria and outcomes, and credit history information from credit bureaus. The latter information is utilized to help prevent and detect fraud and provide specific credit services to some of our clients.

As a business, client information is a crucial component, and we do not engage in the practice of selling it to third-party entities. We only disclose clients’ information as described below.

Affiliates:  We maintain a close working relationship with our affiliated businesses, such as carriers responsible for delivering your packages and brokers offering cargo insurance. These partnerships may include co-branded and joint offerings. When a third party is involved in your transaction, we share relevant customer information with them. You can easily discern when a third party is involved in your transaction.

Partners/Agents:  We enlist the services of other companies and individuals to carry out certain functions on our behalf. These functions may include order fulfillment, package delivery, email and postal mail sending, data analysis, customer list management, marketing support, provision of search results and links (including paid listings and links), credit card payment processing, and customer service. While these agents require access to personal information to perform their functions, they are prohibited from using it for any other purposes.

Promotions:  Occasionally, we send promotional offers on behalf of other businesses to a targeted group of our customers. In these cases, we do not provide the business with your name and address. If you prefer not to receive these offers, you may contact our Support team to Opt-out.

Business transfers/sales:  As we expand our business, we may engage in buying or selling business units. In such cases, client information is usually considered a transferred business asset, but it remains subject to the promises established in any pre-existing Privacy Notice (unless, of course, the client provides consent otherwise). Moreover, in the unlikely event that we or a substantial portion of our assets are acquired, customer information will undoubtedly be considered a transferred asset.

Protections:  To enforce or implement our Terms of Use and other agreements, or to safeguard the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or other individuals, we may disclose account and other personal information as necessary. Such disclosures may include sharing information with other companies and organizations to reduce credit risk and prevent fraud. It is important to note, however, that this does not involve the selling, renting, sharing, or disclosing of personally identifiable customer information for commercial purposes, which would be in violation of the obligations stated in this Privacy Notice.

Law enforcement requests:  Our policy at BCMG Connect is to inform members of any requests for their data unless prohibited from doing so by statute or court order. Law enforcement officials who believe that notification could compromise an ongoing investigation must acquire an appropriate court order or other legal process that explicitly bars member notification.

Your consent:  Except as described above, we will inform you if information about you is to be shared with third parties, giving you the opportunity to decline the sharing of such information.

When confirming a shipment, we only reveal the last five digits of your credit card number. However, the entire credit card number is transmitted to the credit card company for order processing. To protect against unauthorized access to your computer and password, remember to sign off when you are finished using a shared computer.
